📄 Job Description
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing sophisticated algorithmic/automated trading strategies, covering signal generation, execution tactics, hedging, and robust risk management.
- Conducting in-depth research into market microstructure, asset/contract behavior, identifying lucrative arbitrage opportunities, and uncovering hidden market inefficiencies.
- Working extensively with large datasets for comprehensive back-testing, precise parameter tuning, realistic simulations, and detailed post-trade analytics to drive continuous improvements.
- Actively monitoring live trading systems, analyzing real-world performance against expectations, making dynamic adjustments to live parameters, and collaborating with engineers for seamless deployment of enhancements.
- Managing efficient asset allocation across various venues and exchanges, meticulously examining liquidity, slippage, and order-book dynamics to optimize market exposure.
- Contributing alternative views, proactively proposing novel ideas, challenging existing assumptions, and thriving within an open, meritocratic team culture.
📌 Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with algorithmic trading systems, demonstrating practical application and expertise.
- Proven experience in developing simple predictive models and proficiently utilizing Python and statistical methods for quantitative research and strategy optimization.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, effective hedging techniques, and identifying arbitrage opportunities.
- Mandatory proficiency in Python; familiarity with Rust is a significant advantage but not essential.
- Ability to thoroughly read, understand, and interpret complex code.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, coupled with extensive experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously with a strong “owner mindset,” taking full responsibility for projects and outcomes.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid setup, requiring on-site presence in our Riga, Latvia office.
