As a Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, you will be instrumental in evolving our financial processes within the dynamic Web3 landscape. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the preparation and review of annual/quarterly financial statements and comprehensive footnote disclosures, supporting both audited and internal/investor financial reporting packages.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of financial reporting processes, specifically leveraging Workiva WDesk for efficiency.
• Ensure full disclosure compliance by meticulously completing disclosure checklists.
• Act as a key liaison for external audit requests, facilitating a smooth and efficient financial statement review process.
• Collaborate with third-party advisors and consultants on complex transactions, valuations, and specialized services.
• Work cross-functionally with the Finance team, Legal, operational departments, and senior management on all external stakeholder financial communications.
• Continuously drive efforts to organize, automate, and streamline financial reporting, technical accounting, and related processes.
• Conduct thorough accounting disclosure and technical accounting research, prepare detailed accounting memos, establish accounting positions for new transactions and standards, and develop/maintain robust accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.
• Contribute to the development and adherence of internal controls specifically for financial reporting and technical accounting processes.
• Undertake special projects and other assigned duties as required to support the evolving needs of a fast-growing Web3 company.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting and an interest in the Web3 space. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 5-7 years of progressive professional accounting experience.
• **A CPA license is a mandatory requirement for this role.**
• Prior experience from a Big Four accounting firm is highly desired.
• Demonstrable technical accounting expertise is highly desired.
• Working knowledge of automated financial and reporting systems, particularly Workiva WDesk, is highly desired.
• Previous financial reporting experience within a public and/or private company setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with an ERP system, such as NetSuite, is preferred.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• A high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• A self-starter who can work independently, but is also comfortable asking questions and collaborating seamlessly with team members.
